GOD LOVES US!

 We say we know this, but do we really know this? The bible says in 1John 4:16 we can believe in that love, and know that love. That’s an exciting thought! We can know that our God loves us! 

    Here are three advantages to knowing and walking in that love.

  1)1 Cor. 13:13 says,  ‘Now abides faith, hope and love, these three, but the greatest of these is love’.  If we fail to receive from God check these three, but check your love walk first. For 1 Cor.13:8 states that love never fails.  Also, when your love walk is strong and you have faith in God’s love, your faith will work proficiently.

  2) Fear free walk: 1 Jn. 4:18 states there is no fear in love, perfect (mature, fully developed love) casts out fear, because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love. In order to perfect (develop) that love we must observe 1 Jn. 4:16 that says God is love and he that dwells in love dwells (abides, lives, stays in God, and God in him).  If you have problems with fear, develop your knowledge of how much God loves you. This can be accomplished by studying 1 Jn chapters 2-5 until it’s settled in your heart. When this happens you can wake up in the middle of the night stating “God loves me!”

3) Love is our protection: 1 John 5:18 says we know that whosoever is born of God sins not (habitually) but he is begotten of God, keeps himself and that the evil one touches him not. People may come against you, and trouble will come.  Is. 54:17 says weapons will be formed but they won’t prosper against us.  The word also says we will be “Accounted as lambs to the slaughter” because of our love walk.  However, the key word is “accounted” because when you walk in love, they can’t successfully touch you!

 Don’t try to get there over night, because we all need to continually check up on our love walk.  Consistently walking in God’s love will cause you to be a success in all areas of life.
